Native Soil: Incidence and Homescapes
Mar 24 @ 10:00 AM – Sep 23 @ 5:00 PM

Native Soil: Incidence and Homescapes is a large-scale retrospective of paintings by Sarah Yuster, spanning her thirty-year career.  Yuster’s work is subtle and intimate, sparking sentiments from viewers that explain her propensity to invoke a sense of “home.”  Yuster has had notable success as a portraitist, with works in two Smithsonian Museums and top university collections.

Staten Island Museum: Exhibition Opening: Impractical Jokers: Homecoming
Jul 12 @ 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Impractical Jokers: Homecoming explores the story of four longtime friends from Staten Island whose hidden-camera, comedic television show, Impractical Jokers, has become a pop culture phenomenon. Steeped in embarrassment and awkward situations that make us laugh and
cringe, the humor is built upon a foundation of trust and camaraderie amongst the four guys, James “Murr” Murray, Sal Vulcano, Brain “Q” Quinn, and Joe Gatto. See original costumes, props and art created over the past seven seasons. View new interviews, episode highlights and learn about behind-the-scenes production, including some secrets. Take a journey with the Jokers from high school hijinks to mainstream comedic success that all
started on the shores of Staten Island. Interactive surprises are found throughout the museum to make the Jokers’ exhibition experience as unexpected as the Impractical Jokers themselves. The exhibition will run from July 13, 2018- March 17th 2019. This exhibition has been made possible, in part, through support from truTV. Stay tuned to StatenIslandMuseum.org for event details.
