The Harlem Renaissance was a cultural revolution conceived in Harlem, New York beginning in the 1920’s. This explosion of art, music, literature, fashion and dance was one of the most important and influential time periods which reinvented the African American identity in America and around the world. Today we celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance through dance, music and performance in partnership with the National Jazz Museum in Harlem and the Tapastic Network for, “Dance, Through the Harlem Renaissance!”
