Join us for the Staten Island Community Alliance 3rd Annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden! This historic event celebrates the Emancipation of the last enslaved Black Americans in the United States, 1865, in Galveston Texas. We will celebrate the day through live musical performances, historical readings, and other artistic and cultural activities. Come learn about the rich history, experience the culture & contributions of the African American community while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Snug Harbor.

This year’s Juneteenth Freedom festival will be held on June 17th, 2023, from 11am to 6pm in collaboration with dozens of Black-led community organizations, businesses, and Snug Harbor campus partners. Locations: South Meadow & Tuscan Garden. The wellness village will host an array of Wellness & Health screenings. Take the kids to the Staten Island Children’s Museum with a free day pass. Then end your day with an afterparty on the Stapleton waterfront at 7pm.
