The Harbor Lights Theater Company is pleased to announce their participation in the 6th annual ‘Project 1Voice/1Play/1Day 2016’ by staging the 30th Anniversary Staged Reading of The Colored Museum.
The Colored Museum—told through a series of 11 exhibits—explores the journey of self-identification, which shows both black history and the impact of African culture within America. In this play, satire and dark comedy are used to expose the audience to a different look into the identity crisis that people of African descent struggle with.
Tickets are $10 cash at the door. The staging is suitable for teenage audiences and up. School, Church, and Youth groups please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
The Colored Museum is written by two-time Tony award-winning theater polymath George C. Wolfe.
