The 2019 Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art exhibition Breaking Ground: Twenty Years of the New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden brings the fascinating story of this unique space to life through artifacts, photographs, and artwork, in honor of the 20th anniversary of its completion.

All events take place at the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art in Buildings C&G. Gallery admission is included in all prices.

The Breaking Ground exhibition is made possible by the Samuel I. Newhouse Foundation and New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M.
