Latin jazz big band, Viento de Agua, takes its name from a Puerto Rican phrase used to describe the damp and humid air that precedes an intense rainstorm. Founded by percussionist Hector “Tito” Matos and featuring some of Latin music’s finest players, Viento de Agua mixes traditional Afro – Puerto Rican rhythms with other Afro-Caribbean beats and jazz influences to create exuberant and raucous music that drives audiences onto the dance floor.
To be presented as part of the Harbor in Bloom festival.
