During the first weekend in June, FIGMENT will produce a free interactive-art festival. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the participatory-art projects provided by creative members of our community. All FIGMENT art projects require input or participation from our visitors. Everyone involved in making FIGMENT happen is a volunteer, the artists, the production crew, the coordinators, everyone.
WHEN: Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM | Sunday, June 4th, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
WHERE: North Meadow at Snug Harbor (view site map here)
ADMISSION: Free
FIGMENT is a gift. Unlike other art fairs or festivals FIGMENT is a decommodified event; nothing is for sale, and nothing can be bought. It is void of consumerism and is supported by donations from individuals. FIGMENT’s mission is to offer free, inclusive and participatory art to every community, removing the barriers of museum and gallery walls and entrance fees and blurring the lines between those who create and those who enjoy art. FIGMENT catalyzes and celebrates an abundance of creativity and passion, challenging artists and our communities to find new ways to create, share, think, and dream.
