On the Four Elements of the NY Chinese Scholar’s Garden Tour, learn all about Snug Harbor’s New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden, the first authentic scholar’s garden built in the United States. Based on the classical Ming Dynasty period, our Garden presents the four essential elements of the traditional garden: rocks, water, plants, and architecture. Explore how each element demonstrates the opposing principals of yin and yang and reveals the philosophical traditions of thousands of years.
