Staten Island Museum: Super Science: How to do a Mini BioBlitz

Super Science joins forces with the Earth Day How-To Festival to answer the question, “What’s a BioBlitz and how can I participate?” A bioblitz is a communal citizen-science effort to record as many species as possible within a designated location and time. Participants will mark a small area for study and write their field notes in an observational chart noting what types of plants and organisms are present. Are plants flowering? What insects are on the ground? Under rocks? On leaves? Are there any birds or mammals in the area? What are they doing?
