This fall, OSL’s Music in Color concert celebrates the music of Eleanor Alberga. Born in Jamaica and currently based in the UK, Alberga composes with a deeply emotional language and structural clarity that has drawn high praise on an international level. OSL Musicians will be joined by narrator Kirya Traber to present a concert of Alberga’s music alongside pieces by J.S. Bach and Béla Bartók; the program will culminate in the North American premiere of the Alberga’s piece for horn and string quartet, Shining Gate of Morpheus.

Presented in collaboration with: Brooklyn Public Library, Flushing Town Hall, Hostos Center for Arts and Culture, New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden.
