The Noble Maritime Collection (Building D) will present Women and the Sea, a concert and lecture by Debra Cowan. Cowan uses sea shanties, and original songs to take listeners on a journey through time, sharing tales of humor, hardship, and the challenges faced by women in maritime history. She explores sirens and supernatural women, the women left behind, women who went to sea disguised as men, and sings contemporary and traditional songs of the sea in which women are featured as main characters.

Admission to the program is free thanks to funding from the AFM Music Performance Trust Fund.
