The Autumn Moon Festival aligns with harvest festivals such as China’s Zhongqiu Jie, Japan’s Fukushima Autumn, Thailand’s Loy Krathong Festival and Vietnam’s Tet Trung Thu, when the moon is at its fullest.

Snug Harbor’s NY Chinese Scholar’s Garden was built in 1999 and is based on original designs by Zou GongWu, a recognized leading scholar of classic garden design. All funds raised at the Autumn Moon Festival support the ongoing maintenance of the NYCSG.
