Snug Harbor Announces Reopening of World Trade Center Educational Tribute

September 9, 2022 | Staten Island, NY – Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden, in partnership with the New York City Fire Department, announces the reopening of the Staten Island World Trade Center Educational Tribute. The WTC Educational Tribute is located in Building N on the grounds of Snug Harbor at 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY 10301

The WTC Educational Tribute, which first opened in 2003, is dedicated to the memory of Staten Islanders killed at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.  It is designed to tell their stories and to educate all who visit about what happened on that day, offering a place for visitors to come and pay respect to the lost, to reflect, and to learn.

“We are proud to again re-open the WTC Educational Tribute at Snug Harbor in support of our community,” said Jessica Baker Vodoor, President & CEO of Snug Harbor. “Thanks to the support and coordination of the New York City Fire Department, this valuable resource will be accessible for future generations of Snug Harbor visitors to learn from.”

The WTC Educational Tribute will be open daily from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with additional hours of operation on Sunday, September 11, 2022. For more information, or to arrange a visit during other times, please email wtctributesi@gmail.com.
