Our staff is happy to work with you to find a space to best suit your needs. Tents, chairs, tables, and snow fencing are available to rent.

South Meadow/Stage

The South Meadow is the largest open space at Snug Harbor at approximately 7.5 acres. It is ideal for large festivals and outdoor concerts. The South Meadow can be secured with temporary fencing for private and/or paid entry events, and can be rented with or without the South Meadow Stage.
Gazebo Lawn

Conveniently located along Chapel Road in the heart of Snug Harbor’s campus is the Gazebo Lawn. The four acre Gazebo Lawn provides an ideal location for smaller outdoor events, fairs, or performances. Gazebo Lawn can be secured with temporary fencing for private and/or paid entry events. An adjacent shaded parcel is also available.
Front Meadow

Fronting five architecturally significant buildings dating back as far as 1833, the Front Meadow offers a striking setting for festivals, performances and other outdoor events. Its size is approximately 1.33 acres.
New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden

The one-acre walled NYCSG is a superbly crafted example of traditional classical gardens developed in the city of Suzhou during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The garden features include the cloud-capped peak, distinctive lace bark pines, and architectural details in the windows, scholar’s study, tea room, and tent pavilion. It has been used for gala events, film shoots, fashion photo shoots, weddings, and dinners.
RCSF Tuscan Garden

The Richmond County Savings Foundation Tuscan Garden is adjacent to Snug Harbor’s administration office in Building P. Its design was inspired by the 18th century garden at the Villa Gamberaia in Florence, Italy. Consisting of flora, fountains, and reflecting pools, it is a popular for fashion shoots and small outdoor concerts.

Carpenter’s Shop

The Carpenter’s Shop is a 30′ x 60′ (1800 sf) performance and event space, with a capacity of up to 100 people. Chairs, staging, and pipe & drape are available for rental. The space is climate-controlled, with ample flexibility in setup configuration. The Carpenter’s Shop is perfect for performances, memorial services, film screening, photo shoots, and presentations.
Building P Lobby

The spacious first floor of Building P, which was once the Nurses’ Dormitory of Sailor’s Snug Harbor, can be partitioned into a number of configurations for meetings and presentations. Popular partitions include the 735 square foot north section and the 994 square foot south end. The walls of Building P are often adorned with temporary art exhibits. As a whole, the space is 2,073 square feet.
Learning Center

The Learning Center, located in Building G, can be set up in a variety of ways to serve as a classroom, lecture room, theater rehearsal space, or break-away room for larger conferences. Capacity: 40 seated
Harbor Room

The Harbor Room is a multi-use room that provides an intimate setting for conferences, meetings, and workshops. The large rectangular tables make it an ideal space for corporate groups. Capacity: 25 seated
Music Hall

Built in 1892, the Music Hall is a 686 seat theater and is the second oldest music hall in New York City after Carnegie Hall. Its grand architecture serves as the perfect setting for concerts, theater, lectures, and other events. Designed for musical performances, the acoustics are excellent. An electronic brochure with full technical specifications and seating chart is available upon request. The Music Hall is currently under renovation and will not be available to rent until 2023.
