Volunteers are essential to Snug Harbor! We love working with purpose-driven people to create a welcoming space for visitors at our culture park, where you can see the impact of your work in real time. Do you have a special passion or skillset to offer? If so, we’re excited to meet you!
You can volunteer with us in several ways:
Attend our Stewardship Events
Farm, Environmental, Water, Tree, and Wetlands Stewardship are one-off days of volunteerism scheduled on an ongoing basis for a variety of days and times throughout the year based on seasonal need. You can register for as many as you want that fit your schedule, with no need to apply in advance.

Apply with us for an extended volunteer project! We’ll work with your availability and skillset to find the best fit for you. Projects can include:
- Office/admin support
- Compost processing
- Heritage Farm Stand support
- Weeding and invasives removal
- Bed building
- Exhibition de-installation and gallery maintenance (such as painting and cleaning)
Corporate Team Volunteerism
Rally your team for a day of service at Snug Harbor! We can work with you to create an itinerary of activities that are perfectly suited for your team-building goals. Points of Light Certification
Snug Harbor is proud to be certified by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service, as a Service Enterprise. Achieving Service Enterprise certification signifies that we have the capability and management expertise to strategically use volunteers to improve the performance of Snug Harbor.
