Performing Arts Studios Collective

At Snug Harbor, we support performing artists and itinerant companies through both long-term studio space and short-term residencies. Our short‑term residencies are designed to give you the time and freedom to experiment, rehearse, and shape new performance work. These process‑driven residencies welcome both individual artists and arts organizations, offering space to explore ideas, take creative risks, and develop work in an environment that values curiosity and discovery.

Through our long-term Performing Arts Residencies, you’re invited into a supportive creative community where work unfolds in dialogue with audiences—through in‑progress showings, workshops, and public programs. Resident performing arts organizations and companies become an integral part of campus life, sharing their work through annual events like those offered by Jazzmobile, Universal Temple of the Arts, Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre and the African Film Festival, and your work can help to animate Snug Harbor as a vibrant center for performance and exchange.
