Tree Maintenance Workshop
How does pruning determine the way a tree grows? What are some basic pruning techniques and tools? What professionals do you need to care for your tree, and when should you call them? What resources are available from the City? Urban trees are a critical asset supporting our quality of life. Trees fight heat islands, reducing the energy costs of air conditioning, and air pollution, and heat-related illness and mortality. Tree roots filter storm water, and reduce the load on our sewer systems. Trees also create habitats above and below the ground, playing a crucial role in supporting biodiversity! Come work with us for our hands-on workshop to understand more about the importance of pruning a tree to maintain the vitality of the tree.
