In 2018, the City of New York commissioned a Master Plan for Snug Harbor to ensure its long-term, sustainable future.  Marvel Architects, LiRo Engineering Group, Snug Harbor Board and staff, City agencies and elected officials, and community stakeholders created a fully phased, cost-estimated Master Plan for capital investment in the site, which reimagines what Snug Harbor is and can be for our communities.  The Plan focuses on three major goals: upgrading buildings and infrastructure, improving the visitor experience, and expanding opportunities for earned income.  The New York City Council has pledged a generous down payment to get this plan rolling.
